About ASSLI
The headquarters of ASSLi are in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, the nation's capital city. Every day, the dedicated members of our staff team and volunteers put in countless hours to further the goals of the organization. The Main Office is divided into four separate departments: Culture and Community Development, Media and Communications, Finance and Accounting, and Social Services and Consultant. Each department is headed by a director who brings a variety of experiences and ideas that will continue to benefit our clients and advance the organization. The Executive Director has specific authority over these departments and has established their vision, purpose, and objectives.
The Association for South Sudanese Languages Institute (ASSLI) was founded in 2017, although the organization has been active and dedicated to offering amazing programs before then. In order to support the populations of refugees and recent immigrants, the organization worked collaboratively to establish an urgent demand for the restoration of South Sudanese Indigenous languages and rich cultural heritage. The South Sudanese community has a need for interpreters and translators who can help kids combine their academic success with their social, physical, and emotional well-being by using South Sudanese and Canadian curricula and cultural norms.
